I Tried House of M Beauty's Saffron Miracle Serum
As someone who used to suffer with severe acne as a kid and am now dealing with the scars of that past, I'm always curious when a product claims to brighten complexion. Especially since as many darker-complexioned people can attest to; our skin is more perceptible to hyperpigmentation which can occur from breakouts to adverse reactions in products.
I had the pleasure of meeting Anne at the BeautyExpo in Las Vegas last year and heard so much about her product so it only made since when i finally got my hands on the Saffron Miracle Serum I would give it a go. I've been on the hunt for a face serum I could incorporate into my beauty routine that wouldn't break out my skin and help to reduce my hyperpigmentation and brighten my skin.

My Skin Type:
Combination skin that tends to be more dry on my forehead and chin and incredibly oily on my nose.
My Experience:
For the first week I used the Saffron Miracle Serum as a separate step in my daily 5-step skincare routine. I realized I had the tendency to slather my face with the face serum because I really loved how it smells and feels on my skin. Maggie suggested that I instead mix the face serum with my moisturizer (the second to last step in my daily skincare routine) and I found that I had the best results with that change. I noticed within a couple of days that my skin was a lot more softer and supple although I have yet to see drastic changes with my dark spots. However overall my skin is noticeably brighter with even my mom asking me what I'm doing different.

How to Use their Face Serum:
Use the dropper to apply a pea-sized amount to your face day & night. (I prefer to mix my serum with my moisturizer)
The Bottom Line:
I noticed my skin became noticeably brighter within 2 weeks and my skin was more supple and softer. The dark spots I have all over my face are slowly fading - these are dark spots of years so it will take time but when my mom compliments me on my skin I know something is working! There is a reason why beauty editors from Vogue, Byrdie, Vanity Fair & NewBeauty love this product and I can see why.
